Requirements for eco-feed

Contracts with Recipient Farmers

We find multiple contract farmers who are capable of taking the feed and make arrangements to ensure they can continue to receive it regularly.

Submission of Application Forms

In some cases, local governments may require the submission of application forms. If this is the case, please prepare the specified documents and submit them to the designated local authority.

Preparation of Required Materials

There are specific pieces of equipment required for feed conversion, such as dedicated FIBC bags, moisture meters, chemical solutions, and drip dispensers for the chemicals. In some cases, the chemical solution may not be necessary depending on the material.

Arrangement of Transport Trucks

We will arrange the transportation with trucking companies. This includes coordinating the pick-up volume, frequency, and transportation costs.

Communication with Recipient Farmers

We coordinate with each contract farmer on various operational matters, such as the quality, quantity, and frequency of the feed.

At Kawaguchi Seiki, we handle all the above tasks in collaboration with our partner companies, allowing you to start the feed conversion process simultaneously with the introduction of the dehydration machine.

Flow of eco feed

CASE1（Bean sprouts）

①We carry, crush, and dehydrate bean sprout residue discharged from the bean sprout factory..

②We add chemicals inside the crusher to prevent spoilage of both the solids and liquids after dehydration.

③The solids after dehydration are placed in a flexible container with an inner bag for storage.

④The liquid after dehydration is stored in a bulk tank.

⑤Once a certain amount is collected, the solids are transported to livestock farmers and recycled as cattle feed. The liquid is mixed with potato peels and other materials to be recycled as liquid feed (liquid feed).

CASE2（Orange peels）

①We transport and crush mandarin orange peels discharged from the canning factory.
 
②After crushing, the peels are placed in a flexible container with an inner bag for storage.
 
③Once a certain amount is collected, it is transported to livestock farmers and recycled as cattle feed.

Bean sprouts

Through dehydration, the bean spurouts are recycled into cattle feed, while the liquid is recycled into pig feed.

Malt

Through dehydration, malts are recycled into cattle feed.

Orange peels

Through dehydration, orange peels are recycled into cattle feed.

Apple

The apples after dehydration are mixed into cattle feed. Apples have a pleasant aroma, which increases the cattle’s appetite and enhances feed intake.

Pineapple

The pineapples after dehydration are mixed into cattle feed. Pineapples have a pleasant aroma, which increases the cattle’s appetite and enhances feed intake.

Peel of Azuki beans

Through dehydration, those are recycled into cattle feed.

Liquid

The filtrate after dehydration can also be converted into liquid feed. Please note that the feasibility of collection depends on the specific material, so prior confirmation is required.

The residue after dehydration is mixed with hay to be used as feed.

The dehydrated residue is mixed with hay and fed to cattle as feed. Each farmer has their own unique feed mix recipe, which can alter the nutritional value. Depending on the feeding recipe, there can be benefits for farmers, such as increased milk yield in dairy cows. Our company collaborates with three feed handling companies that have networks with livestock farmers across Japan, and we also make recommendations for suitable recipient farmers.
