8 years ago, we set up our product to this customer. Actually, this is the first customer that we set up the dehydration machine.
All of things that dehydration of Bean sprouts and recycle of food waste were first time for us.
But we was able to solve some problems and we also got some these method.
Today, we are going to show when we interview to Mr.Kawanishi who made base of us.

It all started when we did walk-in-sales.

So, first of all, Please tell me what makes you knew our company.
It was walk-in sales of your old boss.
I always went to here and there and usually our member must to deal with any didn’t appointment sales.
But that time it so unexpectedly I was in my office and dealt with your old boss.

We were really lucky!
Yes.
Your boss talked “This is the Dehydration machine of food waste”.
But I had known the dehydration machine of food waste.
And I had experience that tried to some machines many time, and made some mistakes.
What’s more your company didn’t have experience about Bean sprouts.
Actually I thought ” I wonder you are able to do that.”

What kind of machine did you try ?
I tried to incineration, self‐quenching by bacteria, pressure, like that.
I tried many time but I didn’t find good product.
Mr.Kawanishi
However, as for me , I always think I should try to it , I should just do it, if there is a few possible.
So I decided to check your product anyway.

What was the first impression of our screw press dehydration?
I had seen the Screw press dehydration that is used at paper industry. So when I saw your company’s product ,I thought “It was really small size. I wonder this machine has huge power. Like ◯◯ton/hour.
But I thought it is good if this machine can show ability that was shown at a brochure.
And then, I tried to your company’s product , It was able to squeeze really good.

We were thinking about how to recycle of food waste together.
As time goes by, treatment manufacturer, that a partner of us, they had a lot of demands increasingly too.
They want us to squeeze a waste before processing.
Because, our waste had a lot of water and dripping out, furthermore, it has a smell, that make a trouble to them.
So we became to thinking for solving that trouble.

I think there is a growing awareness of recycling throughout the world now, but 8 years ago, there was not growing awareness of recycling compared to now.
About recycle, I was always thinking that there is no future of company without safety and low cost.
So I had try this machine and I checked about wether it was able to recycle or not.

And I got result this machine was able to squeeze as feed and waste of Bean sprouts was able to be as feed.
Just knowing that it can be used as feed is not enough, we must to have to steady supply and operated at low cost.

Exactly. It comes out everyday.
There is no point if we have to spend a lot of money to carry or operation,right?
In order to solved this problems, Mr.Suzuki from your company had appeared.
Mr.Suzuki talked to the cow farmer company that makes feed from bean sprouts and dealt with them, furthermore, he had looked for a lot of more cow farmer, that is able to steady supply for us.

That was first time to make a feed from bean sprouts?
Yes.
The thing I appreciated was there was no people who thought “Let’s make profit only me.”
If somebody had that thinking , this story wasn’t able to be
realized.
We was able to make relation of win-win.
It was also a factor to make business to your company.

Anyway, since we got this recycle system, our factory was selected for field trip from elementary school in this town and we teach the students in this town about “we make bean sprouts from seeds. The human eats that products. And food wastes can recycle to feed of cows and pigs.”

I think it is important things for children to know about environmental problem.
Recycle of food waste changed the thinking of our employee.
And I had been saying to our employee that ” This is not garbage. We are making the feed. So you have to clean around here.”
Then, our employee began to change their awareness. Before that there were incidents of foreign matter in the food waste or it was not clean around there.
But there were nothing like that since started recycle system.

We always was able to talk about only cost merit but when I heard that story, I’m glad to help our customer at the part I didn’t imagine.

Our customer got not only merit the customer was looking for but they can get indirect effect.
The introduction of a dehydrator is an easy-to-understand merit in terms of cost merit and effective use of resources, but I learned again that it has an impact on employee awareness and contribution to the community.
I want to increase the customer like that.
